On the 28th (local time), it was reported in the Mexican daily newspaper “El Financiero” and the US Associated Press.
Then, on the 25th of this month, a plane (AM flight 862) bound for Guatemala City from Mexico City International Airport was scheduled to take off at 8:45 a.m., but was unable to take off due to maintenance issues.
After being trapped on the plane for about four hours, one man opened the emergency door and took a few steps on the wing in a form of protest.
Mexico City International Airport announced on social media, ``Passengers were transferred to the wing from an aircraft that was waiting far from the runway.''
``He came out and returned to the plane.'' ``As per regulations, this passenger was handed over to the police and authorities.'' The passenger said, ``I was stuck on the plane for a long time with no water,'' and ``I was forced to ventilate the plane.''
"I protested because I thought it wasn't being done properly and it could have caused someone's health problems," El Financiero reported.
The 77 passengers on the plane also said, ``What he said is true,'' and ``This male passenger received everyone's support and made everyone happy.''
He co-signed and submitted a document stating, "I took such action to protect the child." According to the flight tracking site “Flightradar 24”, flight AM762 was scheduled to take off on the day of the incident.
The plane finally took off at around 2:18 p.m., more than five hours behind schedule.
