Chongqing, China: Execution of father and girlfriend who killed two young children: Chinese report

A man and a woman convicted of killing two young children by throwing them from the 15th floor of an apartment building in Chongqing, China, were sentenced to death on January 31st.
The executioners were Zhang Bo, the father of the two murdered infants, and Ye Chengjin, his girlfriend.
Zhang begins dating Ye, hiding the fact that he has a wife and child. After that, the two continued to date even though Yo found out that he was married. Zhang married his wife in February 2020
They divorced and agreed that their daughter (then 2 years old) would be taken care of by his wife, Mr. Chen, and their son (then 1 years old) would be taken care of by Zhang until he turned 6 years old. However, when Ye married Zhang, having two children became a burden.
Thinking that this would be the case, he repeatedly urged Zhang that he would leave him if he did not kill the children. Then, on the afternoon of November 2, 2020, Zhang saw his daughter and son, who were playing in the bedroom of his apartment on the 15th floor, through the window.
He was thrown to death. The Supreme People's Court ruled that Zhang Bo and Ye Chengjin conspired to kill the two children. The motive for the crime was "extremely despicable" and the crime "extremely brutal".
Both were sentenced to death in December 2021.
