``Spit out the sand and perform CPR''...Korean tourist saves child with quick judgment
It was later revealed that a Korean tourist rescued an unconscious child with cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Bali, Indonesia. 8th YouTube channel “KBS
News'' posted a video of Choi Jae-young (43) rescuing an 8-year-old child who had collapsed in a pool in Bali using cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On the 20th of last month, Choi, who works at the Daegu Dong-gu Office, had recently taken childcare leave and was staying in Bali with her family for a month when one of her children was in the swimming pool.
I found him lying limp on the floor. Choi, who has first aid and lifeguard qualifications, instinctively held the child's chest, checked the child's pulse and breathing, and called hotel staff.
I requested that an ambulance be called. Sand got into Choi's mouth during CPR, but Choi continued CPR while spitting out the sand.
After Choi performed CPR for more than eight minutes, the child came back to life and was rescued by the arrival of emergency services.
He was taken to the hospital safely. In an interview, Mr. Choi said, ``It seems like the child woke up because we all prayed together,'' and ``I just pressed on his chest, hoping that he would live.''
When Mr. Choi heard that the child had recovered on the third day after the accident, he visited the child, and the child welcomed Mr. Choi with a smile. Choi said, ``Tears filled my eyes as I hugged my child,'' adding, ``I have two daughters.
They seemed to be close in age to our daughters. "I had my first daughter in Bali, where we honeymooned, but this time I have a cute son," she said, expressing her happiness.
