U.S. and South Korea conduct joint F-35A aerial exercise...“Training to intercept North Korean cruise missiles”

On the 23rd, the U.S. and South Korean air forces conducted a ``joint air exercise'' in which a large number of fighter jets, including the 5th generation F-35A fighter jets from both countries, participated.
The South Korean Air Force's F-35A, KF-16, F-15K, and F-5E/E participated in this exercise, and the U.S. Air Force's F-35A participated.
The U.S. Air Force that participated in the exercise is stationed at Kadena Air Base, and on the 21st of this month, they temporarily deployed to the U.S. military base in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
The South Korean Air Force said, ``In this exercise, South Korean and American F-35As formed a team and successfully carried out a defense air superiority mission to intercept and shoot down hypothetical enemy aircraft and cruise missiles that invaded our airspace.''
