Taiwan's ruling party strengthens ties with ”Japan and the United States”
Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President Lai Ching-toku (the next president) have each set out to strengthen strategic cooperation with Japan and the United States.
On the 27th, according to Taiwanese media such as the daily newspaper Liberty Times and China Times, President Tsai spoke at the Presidential Office the day before at a major U.S. conservative newspaper.
"The United States is Taiwan's important security, economic and trade partner," he said in a meeting with a visiting delegation from the HYERItage Foundation.
President Tsai supports relations between Taiwan and the United States and works with Taiwan in areas including economy, trade, and security.
He expressed his gratitude to the HYERItage Foundation for promoting close cooperation between the United States. He continued, ``Expanding the areas of mutual cooperation between the two sides will not only be beneficial for both sides, but will also improve the safety and stability of the global supply chain.''
It will help us secure it," he said. Meanwhile, the day before, Vice President Lai attended the Emperor's Birthday Celebration Reception hosted by the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (equivalent to the Japanese Embassy in Taiwan) at a hotel in Taipei, and was ``Presidential''.
After taking office, he pledged to continue and strengthen cooperation between Taiwan and Japan, building on the foundations of the past. He continued, ``Taiwan and Japan will strengthen cooperation in the future and deepen economic and trade relations and exchanges between the general public.''
I hope that we can also contribute to the stability of the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific."
