South Korea's Ministry of Personnel Innovation has certified that a teacher at an elementary school in Seocho-gu, Seoul city died in the line of duty after his death at school last year, which sparked social interest in the restoration of teaching authority. Also, arrives to work
An elementary school teacher who was assaulted and died on the mountain trail in Sinrim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, was also recognized as a martyr in the line of duty. According to the Korean education community, the family of Teacher A, who worked at an elementary school in Seocho-gu, said on the 27th that
In a message he sent to some education officials, he revealed that his death in the line of duty was acknowledged. He also said, ``The support of many teachers was of great help in recognizing him as a person who died in the line of duty,'' adding, ``I thought of it as if it were my own.''
I will never forget all the times when we cried while bathing in the snow and rain together, and I want to keep it etched in my heart for the rest of my life." Messages from the bereaved families have been collected many times by teachers from all over the country.
This appears to have been an expression of gratitude for the teachers who have held meetings and press conferences to inform the public about the reality of violations of religious rights and have called for recognition of Teacher A's death in the line of duty.
Teacher A took his own life inside the school on July 18th last year. Before his death, the deceased responded to a complaint from a parent while mediating a fight between students.
It is reported that he was harassed, but a police investigation found no specific allegations such as power harassment from his parents. After Teacher A's death, teachers voluntarily held a large gathering.
He pointed out the reality of teachers suffering from ``infringements on their teaching rights'' such as senseless reports of child abuse and malicious complaints, and called on the government and the Diet to take measures. After that, the government came up with comprehensive measures to protect the right of teachers, and the Diet decided to protect teachers' rights.
The ``Five Acts for the Restoration of Church Power'' were enacted to protect educational activities. Separately, the Office of Personnel Innovation also announced the case regarding Teacher B, who was assaulted and killed on a mountain trail in Sinrim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul on August 17 last year.
He also admitted that he died in the line of duty. After Teacher B was assaulted on his way to work, he was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but died two days later. The suspect was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial last month.
However, the Office of Personnel Innovation did not acknowledge that Teacher C, who died in Gunsan City, North Jeolla Province, was killed in the line of duty.
