Teacher A took his own life inside the school on July 18th last year. Before his death, the deceased responded to a complaint from a parent while mediating a fight between students.
It is reported that he was harassed, but a police investigation found no specific allegations such as power harassment from his parents. After Teacher A's death, teachers voluntarily held a large gathering.
He pointed out the reality of teachers suffering from ``infringements on their teaching rights'' such as senseless reports of child abuse and malicious complaints, and called on the government and the Diet to take measures. He also admitted that he died in the line of duty. After Teacher B was assaulted on his way to work, he was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but died two days later. The suspect was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial last month.
However, the Office of Personnel Innovation did not acknowledge that Teacher C, who died in Gunsan City, North Jeolla Province, was killed in the line of duty.
