Lee Ki Kwang (Highlight) & Sung Jeong (INFINITE), ”Acting the dialect was not easy”... laments the harsh criticism of their acting

Stars who have been heavily criticised for their acting skills have opened their mouths.

　On the 27th, Lee Ki-gwan of boy group Highlight appeared as a guest on the SBS variety show 'Strong Heart VS'. Lee Ki-gwan took on the role of Baek Eun-ho, a chef from Gyeongsang-do, in the tvN drama 'Marry My Husband', which recently finished airing, and showed off his acting skills in dialect. However, he used an unnatural dialect in the scene where he confesses his love and was criticised for his acting skills.

　Lee Ki-kwang confessed his feelings about the scene, saying, "There were a lot of office workers around, so I felt burdened and broke out in a cold sweat because I had to speak out there. He added: "I'm from Gwangju in Jeolla Province, so the dialect of Busan wasn't easy. I did a lot of practice, but the intonation and nuances themselves were different, so I think I ended up with unnatural intonation", he explained.

　Actor Park Jae-jung, who appeared in the MBC variety programme 'Radio Star' last year, also expressed his frustration at criticism of his acting skills over the past 15 years: when he took on the role of Kang Hose in 'You Are My Destiny' in 2008, he was given the humiliating nickname of 'Hose the Radical Actor' for his inadequate dialogue and acting.

　In response, Park Jae-jung confided that the filming schedule was too demanding at the time and that "there was a line that said 'I'm going to branch out', but I also have ears and eyes, so it was a pronunciation I wanted to film again". However, he belatedly explained that he, as a rookie, did not have the courage to do so, saying that "NG cuts are the director's prerogative".

　INFINITE's Sungjong tried his hand at acting in the early stages of his debut, but his performance was heavily criticised, leaving only the meme "When I'm troubled, I get lemon candy". Sungjoon said, "If you talk about behind the scenes, I went there not knowing that it was acting. My manager didn't give me a scenario because it was a busy time for me as it was a variety show. I got the scenario on the set and memorised it. I'll never forget the disdainful look in the director's eyes", he confessed his frustration.

　In addition to this, 'SUPER JUNIOR' Kyuhyun also appeared in the KBS 'THE SEASONS - Lee Hyo-ri's Red Carpet' and lamented seeing himself in the web drama. He explained that it was the first time he had shot something like that and his eye processing was unstable.
