Song Joong Ki spent five months filming the Netflix movie 'Lo Giwang' in Budapest, Hungary.
In a recent interview with Korean media at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Song Joong Ki reflected on the filming.
On the day, Song Joong Ki said, "It wasn't an easy film to make because we filmed all the scenes overseas" and added, "Mr (Jo) Han-chul was the most happy. He was so excited that I thought he had acted in this film because he wanted to go abroad. Me and (Choi) Sung-eun filmed almost without a break, and we couldn't even leave a single photo at the places where tourists go. But I'm glad that my senior (Jo Han-chul) was happy.
He continued: "Filming abroad is not an easy task as there are many factors that affect the situation. Sometimes it is difficult when you go to film a drama for two or three weeks to film a part of it abroad, but it was difficult because it was for five months. I had to shoot the film well and keep to the shooting time. I was not able to have fun because I had to take care of that", he added.
He added: "My wife (Katie) went with me to the shoot, but I had to take care of her because she was pregnant, so I didn't have the luxury of being relaxed. I'm not a person who has emotional ups and downs, so I'm the same as I normally am, good or bad."
Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki's new film 'Lo Kiwan', which depicts the mutual attraction between Kiwan, a North Korean defector who arrives in Belgium with the last hope of his life, and Mari, a woman who has lost her reason for living, was released in over 190 countries worldwide through Netflix on the 1st of this month.
