Actor Song Joong Ki explains his past “hand-heart affair”

Actor Song Joong Ki has explained the controversial hand-heart scandal that has caused controversy about his humanity.

　In a recent interview with Korean media at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Song Joong Ki, who made his comeback with 'Lo Gi-wan', revealed a number of stories.

　On that day, Song Joong Ki said, "It wasn't an easy film because it was all shot on location overseas," and added, "Mr (Jo) Han-chul was the most happy. My brother (i.e. Jo Han-chul) was really buoyant, to the extent that he thought he was in this film because he wanted to go abroad. Me and (Choi) Sung-eun shot the film almost without a break, and we couldn't even leave a single photo at the places where the tourists go. But I'm glad that my senior (Jo Han-chul) was happy."

　He continued: "Filming abroad is not an easy task as there are many factors that affect the situation. Sometimes it is difficult when you go to film a drama for two or three weeks to film a part of it abroad, but it was difficult because it was for five months. I went into it with the producer mindset that I had to keep the shooting time. Because of that, I couldn't have fun" he added.

　"My wife (Katie) also accompanied me on the shoot, but I had to take care of her because she was pregnant, so I didn't have the luxury of being relaxed. I'm not a person with a lot of emotional ups and downs, so whether things are good or bad, it's exactly the same as usual, but the director said that I looked relaxed in the film, so I'm glad about that."

　Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki had earlier refused a request for a heart pose during photo time at the production launch of the drama 'Reborn Rich', and this attitude caused a stir. In regard to this, he said through an interview with a media outlet, "The reason I didn't do the hand heart was because I didn't think it was funny to do a uniform gesture. If that attitude was not reflected well, it was my fault. I didn't do it because I thought it would look boring. It wasn't that I didn't want to do it," he explained.

　He continued: 'My personality is to look back at my own responsibility before blaming others for everything. When my children grow up, I will try not to show them embarrassing behaviour so that they don't feel ashamed."
