J-HOPE's agency posted the official motion picture teaser video of the title track 'NEURON (with Gaeko and Yoon Mire)' of the special album 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1' on the official SNS of 'BTS' at 1pm on the 28th (below, Korean time). The video was posted on the website. The motion picture teaser, like the official music video, contains a variety of views of the city from different perspectives.
The ordinary city scenes, such as the fast-flowing scenery outside the car window and people coming and going at a quick pace, are expressed in black-and-white. A boy then appears and gazes at the sky, the film changes colour and part of the title track's soundtrack begins to play. At the end of the film, a scene of film being cut with scissors and the typography of 'NEURON' appeared, amplifying curiosity about the motion picture film.
J-HOPE's 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1', which will be released simultaneously worldwide at 1pm on the 29th is an album based on 'street dance', the roots of his art. The new album includes the title track, 'on the street (solo version)', 'i wonder... (with Jung Kook of BTS)', 'lock / unlock (with Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers)', 'i don't know (with Ho Yoonjin of LE SSERAFIM)', 'what if... (J-HOPE participated in writing the lyrics for all the songs on the album, and he showed off his abilities as a musician.
The name 'NEURON' refers to the 'neuron' that generates electricity and transmits information to other cells when it receives external stimuli, and to the dance crew of the same name that J-HOPE was a member of before his debut. The song is a reflection of the old-school hip-hop genre of the 2000s, conveying his musical roots, life motivations and hopes for a new beginning. The song's appeal is doubled by the featuring contributions of Dynamic Duo's Gaeko and Yoon Miree.
Meanwhile, J-HOPE will hold a pop-up 'HOPE ON THE STREET' from 30th March to 5th April in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
