韓国与党トップ「李在明・曹国のような “法をもてあそぶ人”に支配されるべきなのか」
South Korean ruling party leader: “Should we be ruled by people who toy with the law” like Lee Jae-myung and Cao Guo?
Han Dong-hoon, emergency response chief of the ruling party People Power, who is currently campaigning in his constituency for the general election of the National Assembly (held on April 10), made a public announcement to the opposition party on the 29th.
"The judgment against Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Cho Kuk, chairman of the Fatherland Reform Party, is not negative.
He appealed for the support of the ruling party, saying, "This is about the people's livelihood."
On that day, Chairman Han held a press conference in Uiwang, Gwacheon and Anyang.
"What Lee and Cho are trying to do is not reform the prosecution system, but corrupt it," he said during a campaign stop. "They have dragged the standards of the Republic of Korea down to the basement."
Chairman Han told Cho, "I will not be held responsible for the various crimes my family members committed, such as cheating on entrance exams, using undisclosed information, and destroying evidence, or for their retribution in the judicial system.
"Is 'taking revenge' the prosecutorial reform?" he asked. He then asked Lee, "Why are you leaving the Democratic Party candidate who is being charged with a crime alone? It's because you are the one who is being charged with a crime.
"Why should we be governed by people like Lee and Cho, who toy with the law and exploit citizens?" he said. "We are fighting against criminals.
They are criminals. Law-abiding, upstanding citizens like you should not have to cower before criminals."
