South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan at around 6:53 a.m. on the 2nd.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said, ``At around 6:53 p.m., a
"We captured an aircraft believed to be an intermediate-range ballistic missile launched into the Sea of Japan." The South Korean military has strengthened its surveillance and vigilance in preparation for additional launches, and is currently communicating with Japanese and U.S. authorities.
The two countries maintain a thorough readiness while closely sharing information related to ballistic missiles. On the 18th of last month, North Korean leader Kim Jung Eun announced a super-large bomb that would put all of South Korea within its striking range.
This was the first time in 15 days since they conducted radiation cannon firing training. The military is analyzing the flight distance, altitude, and speed of North Korea's ballistic missiles.
