Commissioners of the National Tax Agency of Japan and South Korea meet in Seoul to discuss pending tax policy issues such as ”offshore tax evasion” and ”double taxation”

The Korea Tax Service said, "Governor Kim Chang-ki met with Japanese National Tax Agency Commissioner Sei Sumizawa at the Seoul Regional Tax Office on the 3rd and discussed pending tax policy issues between the two countries."
During the meeting, Kim shared examples of customized electronic tax administration innovations for taxpayers. The two countries' NTSs also exchanged information on how to deal with "offshore tax evasion" and "corporate tax evasion."
The two countries' national tax agencies have been holding regular meetings with the heads of their national tax agencies since 1990 to discuss pending tax policy issues.
