”Superstar K2” singer Park Boram collapses and dies at friend's house... Police request autopsy

A police investigation was launched in connection with the death of the late singer Park Boram.

According to the Namyangju South Police Station in Gyeonggi-do on the 12th, Park Boram had collapsed at around 9:55pm the previous day at an acquaintance's house in Namyangju, where she had been drinking alcohol with two female acquaintances.

The acquaintances reportedly said that the late Park Boram had gone to the toilet and did not come out, so they went to check on her and found her collapsed and called 119 and the police.

At the time, the late Park Boram was found lying face down in front of a dressing table, unconscious. Acquaintances performed CPR on her, but she was unable to regain consciousness.

Police and fire authorities who were dispatched to the scene transferred the late Park Boram to Hanyang University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at around 11:17pm.

The late Park Boram's agency XANADU Entertainment revealed that "Late in the evening of the 11th April, that Park Boram suddenly left us" and that "it is heartbreaking to have to give sudden news to the fans who support Park Boram".

They continued, "We will prepare funeral procedures and other matters after consulting with the bereaved family" and "once again send our deepest condolences to the deceased on her final journey."

Meanwhile, the police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Science Institute to determine the exact cause of death.
