Korea District Heating Corporation receives highest rating in public institution safety activity level evaluation

Korea District Heating Corporation (KDCC) achieved the highest grade of A among 32 public enterprises in the 2023 safety activity level assessment conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. This marks the third consecutive year that the corporation has received an excellent grade.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor comprehensively evaluates the safety and health management system and safety and health activity level of public institutions through the Safety Activity Level Evaluation, which was first introduced in 2019.
This year, the survey assessed 130 public enterprises, quasi-governmental organizations, and other such organizations on 30 items in four areas: safety and health management system, management, activities, and results.
As part of its efforts to build an ICT-based smart safety workplace, Handan is promoting the spread of intelligent video helmets that can communicate in real time to all workplaces, and the provision of information on dangerous situations.
The company received a high score in the area of safety and health achievements in recognition of its achievements in raising safety awareness, including the introduction of a smart video analysis system to monitor workplace safety and the implementation of experience-based safety education for all employees.

It is the only public enterprise to receive the Minister's Award for Meritorious Improvement, and has been recognized for its safety management capabilities externally, having been selected as an outstanding institution for two consecutive years in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Safety Korea Training.
