Lee Jin-ho, who was a backup dancer for famous singers such as "Girls", Jang Yoon Jeong, and Joo Hyun-mi, changed her genre to become a trot singer and introduced the world of "dance trot" to the public.
I went to see Shinju's busking concert. Deok-hyung, who has been gaining attention lately at the Yadang Station concert hall in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, is a trot dancer who performs with Rimsuk.
She introduced a wide range of songs, from dance songs to ballads, and spent four hours with her fans. She aims to become a singer who can deliver romance and emotion to her fans in this difficult world.
Trot singer Lee Shin-ju said her goal is to become a singer with a bright smile and signed CDs given to her by fans. We asked her some questions. Q.
Although I participated in "Miss Trot 3", I unfortunately did not make it into the top 7. Do you have any plans to continue participating in these types of audition programs?
What I regret most is that I caught influenza A on the day of the first round. I was really disappointed that I couldn't complete the choreography during the performance.
During the team mission in round 2, I taught each member how to do the choreography and directed the performance to improve their teamwork, but the results were disappointing. However, I was able to show the charm of the team.
I'm glad I was able to finish it. I'll practice hard and try again so I can get into the TOP7 next time. Even if it's not trot, I want to sing in an audition that needs me and can perform on stage.
If there is an opportunity, I plan to participate. Q. You have had many experiences as a back-up dancer, but what made you decide to become a singer?
My love for music continued to grow, so it felt natural for me to transition to becoming a singer.
I like to express myself to the audience on stage, so I debuted as a dancer and performed behind many singers, but I was not able to develop my own voice.
I debuted as a singer because I wanted to express Lee Shin-ju with my own choreography. Q. You also sing genres other than trot, but which genre are you most confident in and like?
I'm influenced a lot by the weather. When it's raining or snowing, I often sing lyrical ballads, and when the weather is nice and clear, I often sing bright dance pop songs.
When I want to liven up the atmosphere or have fun, I do trot. Q. You tried busking in Hawaii and Vietnam. Why did you try it? Why don't you do it in Japan?
I have no reason. I'm a free spirit who goes when I want to go, so I just wanted to go. Lee Shin-ju and I have the same busking equipment, so I took my equipment to the place I wanted to go.
I was invited to Japan to perform, not busk, but to perform in four places: Hokkaido, Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa.
I have plans to go busking for a while. Q. How many hours do you practice per day? Do you have any hobbies that you enjoy when you are not practicing or performing?
Currently, I am working as a personal broadcaster, so I practice for at least 4 hours a day.
I am currently practicing various genres of songs in response to requests. When I am not practicing or performing, I enjoy golfing and spending time with my dog.
She is also a busy singer who broadcasts her songs to her fans in real time, and is also a direct fan of hers.
Trot singer Lee Shin-ju has even busked to meet Ng to deepen her friendship with him. In June, she will release a new trot song and pop song called "Love, Love, Forgetful," which is about nostalgia and unforgettable feelings.
