“再婚”ソン・ジュンギ、ツラかった過去に言及
“Remarried” Song Joong Ki talks about his painful past… “I really love you…”
In a recent interview, actor Song Joong-ki talked about his difficult past.

Song Joong-ki gained a lot of attention for his role in the Netflix original movie 'Lo Gi-wan' which was released in March this year, in which he plays 'Lo Gi-wan' a North Korean defector who heads to Belgium with his last hope in life.

He is often asked if he has changed the direction of his career since 'Lo Gi-wan' but he says not at all. He said, "Of all the films I've acted in, except for 'Love Under the Sun,' there hasn't been a single major film. They are all minor works. In that respect, I consider myself to be participating in films with a consistent standard."

The story of how Song Joong-ki secretly attended a prep school for ronin students on his parents' credit card is a well-known episode among his fans. What was the biggest challenge in Song Joong-ki's life up to that point? He answered, "It's an even bigger challenge than becoming an actor. I spent a long time as a short track athlete. When I was little, my dream was to represent Korea. That time when I quit short track, which I really loved, was the biggest challenge of my life."

He also mentioned "group dinners" as something he always does during filming. This is because he believes that teamwork with co-stars and crew members has a great impact on the finished product. However, it is normal for some people to dislike group dinners, but Song Joong-ki adds his own effort. "I don't choose the exact same menu," he says. "I don't choose exactly the same menu because I prefer to eat a variety of delicious foods anyway. I have the pleasure of organizing the first, second, and even third rounds of group dinners. As a result, I have developed a habit. When I go to a new restaurant, I always count the number of tables. I wonder how many people can fit."

Finally, Song Joong-ki was asked what kind of actor he would like to be remembered as. "An actor who brings good energy. I think people watch movies because of the anticipation, because they hope that the two hours they spend watching a movie will be fulfilling. That space can be a movie theater or an airplane. Acting is a profession that can make those two hours a happy time. No more, no less. In that respect, I want to be remembered as an actor who really has a high utility value in enriching those two hours."
