BMW Women's Championship to be held in Paju, Gyeonggi-do
In particular, following last year's efforts, the company has decided to hold the event at Seowon Valley CC, which is located in Seoul.
As a result, BMW Korea will be able to create a unique HYERI stage and a differentiated tradition as a sustainable event.
BMW Korea CEO Han Sang-yoon said, "We decided to change the venue every two years starting this year to promote more active coexistence and development with the local community.
"We will now make thorough preparations to provide the participants with plenty of fun and to make the event even more complete."
The total prize money is $2.2 million (approximately 340 million yen), with a first place prize of $330,000 (approximately 51 million yen) for the fourth time.
A total of 78 players, including 68 top-class LPGA Tour players and eight special invitees, will compete in the 72-hole stroke-play tournament held over three days.
The tournament will award the right to participate to two amateur players recommended by the Korea Golf Association (KGA), and is also actively involved in developing young players.
