Conservative YouTuber sentenced to one year in prison for ”threatening President Yoon” - South Korea

Kim Sang-jin (55), a conservative YouTuber who was indicted on charges of threatening President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was then the Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and others, was sentenced to prison in the first trial.
On the 18th, the Seoul Central District Court sentenced Kim, who was indicted on charges of intimidation and assault, to one year in prison and remanded him in custody due to "flight concerns" that he might flee.
The court found Kim guilty of the charges and said, "We decided on the sentence after taking into consideration the defendant's criminal record and whether or not he had negotiated a settlement with the victim.
Kim was active on YouTube for several months from January 2019 under the username "Sanjin Ahje," uploading videos of President Yoon, who was then the chief prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, and the late Park Won-soon.
He is accused of making threatening broadcasts to the residences of Seoul Mayor Woo Won-sik, Rep. Seo Yeong-kyo, JTBC CEO Son Seok-hee, and others a total of 14 times.
At the end of April 2019, when the prosecution was about to decide whether to suspend the execution of former President Park Geun-hye, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office held a press conference at the home of President Yoon.
The man also broadcast the threat in front of the police and said, "I know the license plate number of your car." Kim has maintained his innocence in court, claiming that he was guilty of "lese majeste."
