According to the National Barometer Survey (NBS), conducted between 19 and 2017 among 1,004 men and women aged 18 and over, President Yoon's approval rating was calculated to be 27% in the third week of April.
This is a drop of 11 percentage points from the previous survey conducted before the general election on April 10. Disapproval rose 9 percentage points from the previous survey to 64%.
Regarding the level of trust in President Yoon's ability to run the country, 31% answered that they "trust" him, while 65% answered that they "do not trust" him.
Meanwhile, in a survey of party approval ratings, the ruling party People's Power and the largest opposition party, the Democratic Party of Korea, were tied at 32%.
The ruling party's approval rating fell by 7 percentage points compared to the previous survey, while the Democratic Party rose by 3 percentage points. This was followed by the Fatherland Reform Party at 13%, the New Reform Party at 4%, and the New Future and Green Justice Party at 1% each.
Regarding the results of the general election, 40% of respondents said that the number of seats awarded to the opposition parties was greater than expected, while 28% said that the number of seats awarded to the ruling parties was greater than expected.
23% of respondents answered that it was "pretty much what we expected."
