President Moon meets with opposition parties... ”I want all opposition parties to unite and respond firmly to the government” = South Korea

On the 23rd, former South Korean President Moon Jae-in met with members of the opposition party "New Future" emergency response committee and said, "I hope that the opposition parties will unite and take firm action against the government."
The New Future's emergency response committee chairman Lee Seok-hyun and other committee members paid their respects at the grave of the late former president Roh Moo-hyun in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, on the same day.
Afterwards, he met with former President Moon in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province. According to the New Future, President Moon and Chairman Lee chatted for about an hour.
Former President Moon told Chairman Lee, "The New Future Emergency Response Committee, led by Chairman Lee, will analyze the causes based on the results of the election.
"I hope that the party will be rebuilt as soon as possible," he said, and asked, "I want them to fulfill their role of understanding the feelings of the people who do not support the two major parties (the ruling party and the largest opposition party) and speaking on their behalf."
After meeting with former President Moon, Chairman Lee said, "Former President Moon encouraged me, saying, 'I hope there will be great developments in the new future.'"
"We will continue to work hard to reaffirm a new future identity that inherits the spirit of former presidents Hyun and Moon Jae-in and to find a policy vision for the future," he said.
