Previously, Han Seo Hee appeared on the web variety show "Na Young Seok's Nabul Nabul" which was released on January 14th this year, and asked Na Young Seok, "Did you come to Seoul after graduating from high school?"
In response to producer Ng Seok's question, she said, "I was accepted to a university in France but couldn't go. I can't get a visa unless I have 60 million won (about 6 million yen) in my name in my bank account. However,
"I didn't even have 60 million won at the time," he said, revealing the unfortunate circumstances that prevented him from going to university in France.
However, some people are concerned about the passing certificate, French language ability, or passing.
Han Seo Hee responded, "I don't really like ideas and change, and I've been a bit of a slacker since then.
"At first, I didn't even know the subject and dreamed of going to Central Saint Martins or Parsons, but I needed hundreds of millions of won (tens of millions of yen) a year.
I heard about this and chose Beaux Arts, but since I wasn't going to a university in Korea, there was no way I could get a scholarship."
He continued, "The parts that were edited out and distorted in the program are the ones that were left in my bank account, and I have 20 to 30 million won (approximately
"I needed 200,000 to 300,000 yen (about 20,000 to 30,000 yen), and my housing and living expenses were insufficient without any justification," he added. "I started again when I was 20, so I was working part-time.
"Everything I earned had to be paid to the study abroad institute (a sort of study abroad support center), so it felt like pouring water into a bottomless jar," he confided.
Even after Han Seo Hee's explanation, there were opinions asking why she had to explain such a thing, and opinions that she was avoiding the core of the issue and making it unclear what she was saying.
Opinions are divided, and there are continuing arguments for and against.
