Former President Park Geun-hye's former residence put up for sale for 3.8 billion won - South Korean media
It has been revealed that the private residence of former President Park Geun-hye in Naegok-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, which was her home, is up for sale.
According to real estate industry sources, IOK Company, the current owner of President Park Geun-hye's private residence, sold the property for 3.8 billion yen late last year.
The property was put up for sale for 1.5 million won (approximately 427 million yen). The property was purchased through an agent in April 2017, just after President Park was impeached, and is located in the Gangnam area where President Park used to live.
The mansion was purchased by selling his home in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, South Korea. However, President Park Geun-hye was in prison at the time of the purchase, so he never actually lived there.
The property has a total area of 571 square meters, a land area of 406 square meters, and consists of one basement floor and two aboveground floors. It is located at the foot of Kuryongsan Mountain, within the Naego interchange.
It has easy access to Ji and Hongneung Interchanges, and Cheonggyesan 1-ga Station on the Bundang Line is located about 1.2 kilometers southwest of the station.
The Naegok-dong private residence was seized by prosecutors in March 2021 for failure to pay fines and surcharges by President Park.
In August of that year, the Naegok-dong private residence was put up for public auction, and the company, a subsidiary of the Sanbangul Group, was sold to the public.
IOK Company was selected as the final bidder. The winning bid was 3.864 billion won (approximately 434 million yen). The property had never been lived in before and was used for filming.
IOK Company is an entertainment agency that has been used as a set for actors Ko Hyun Jung, Jo In Sung, Moon Chae Won, and singer Kim Jae-in of the group god.
Tae Woo and others are members.
