The story depicts Park Do-ra (Lim Soo Hyang), who must decide to marry Go Pil-seung (Ji Hyun-woo), who she has always wanted to be in a relationship with, but she is unable to accept the fact that they are family members who have a bad relationship.
The main reason for their bad relationship was Park Do-ra's mother Baek Mi-ja (Cha Hwa-yeon). Park Do-ra hated Baek Mi-ja. However, Baek Mi-ja took advantage of Park Do-ra.
He tricked Park Do-ra into going to Kong Jin-dang's (Ko Yoon) villa, where she refused to talk to him, but was locked in a room.
Kong Jin Dan had to endure violent situations such as these. After having confessed her feelings to Park Do Ra once and being rejected, she was angry when Park Do Ra rejected her again at the villa.
When she returned home, Park Do-ra resented Baek Mi-ja for treating her like a "machine to make money," and Baek Mi-ja couldn't understand how Park Do-ra was selling herself.
Disappointed in her mother, she was about to cut off all ties with her, when debt collectors showed up at her house. It was later revealed that Baek Mi-ja had been the victim of an investment scam and was trying to secretly raise the money.
She also started gambling. Park Do-ra's buildings and house were overvalued, and her debts, including interest, continued to grow. Whenever an article appeared about Park Do-ra investing with her debts, debt collectors would come and attack Park Do-ra.
Dora had to kneel down. Park Dora quickly got into billions of yen of debt, and Baek Mi-ja betrayed her. Baek Mi-ja offered to do a nude photo shoot for 2 billion yen.
Although Park Do-ra was disappointed in her mother for selling her daughter, she still decided to do nude photo shoots to raise money, showing the story's developments at a dead end.
In contrast, the ratings for "The Beauty and the Innocent Man" also increased slightly.
According to Korea, the viewership rate for "Beauty and the Innocent Man," which aired on the 5th, was 15.6% nationwide, up 2.6% from the previous episode. The sudden development caused the ratings to rise.
However, viewers were left scratching their heads after seeing Baek Mi-ja, who was only thinking about selling off her daughter, and Park Do-ra, who was daring to take part in a nude photoshoot.
