China's international flight numbers recover to 71% of pre-COVID-19 levels: Chinese report

According to the Chinese aviation information app "Hongban Guanjia," the total number of passengers traveling by air nationwide in April this year was 55.67 million, down 4.8% from the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

According to statistics from the "Airport Management" magazine, the number of round-trip flights between China's top 10 cities in April totaled 25,000, up 26.4% from the same period in 2019.
The number of resumption flights increased, with the Beijing-Chengdu route increasing by 78.9%, the Beijing-Chongqing route increasing by 59.9%, and the Beijing-Hangzhou route increasing by 46.5%. Meanwhile, the Shanghai-Guangzhou route decreased by 4%, and the Shanghai-Chongqing route increased by 1.
