On the morning of the 9th, director Kim Tae-young, Park Bo Gum, Tang Wei, Suji, and Choi Woo-shik attended the "Wonderland" production debriefing held at CGV's Yongsan branch in Hangangno, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and talked about the film. Yumi Jeong was unable to attend due to health reasons.
Wonderland is a story about reuniting with a loved one through "Wonderland," a video phone service that uses artificial intelligence to restore a deceased person.
Suzy plays Jung-in, a woman who recovers her unconscious lover through "Wonderland," and Park Bo-gum plays Tae-joo, who miraculously wakes up and finds everything awkward and confusing.
In the production image and trailer of "Wonderland," there is a scene in which Suzy, who plays Chung In, and Park Bo Gum, who plays Tae Joo, sing a song together on the spaceship, which evokes a sense of sadness. It was reported that Park Bo-gum wrote the lyrics for the scene one day before the shooting, which was a surprise to the viewers.
Suzy revealed that the scene where she and Park Bo Gum sing together is the most memorable. Park Bo Gum said, "It was a scene that was suddenly created the day before the shooting, but the director Kim Tae Young and the music director suggested that I sing a song with Suzy and write lyrics for the scene."
He continued, "After we finished shooting that day, me, the director, and the music director got together at our lodgings and wrote the lyrics while playing on the ukulele, and the next day we memorized the lyrics and shot the scene," he added provoking surprise "That's why it's even more memorable. The scene seemed to represent the feelings of all the people. It was like a scene that compounded the feelings of being happy to see each other but sad to miss each other," he said, expressing his affection for the movie.
Wonderland will be released in Korea on June 5th.
