He told Herald POP, "I had planned to attend the production presentation for 'Wonderland,' but I became so ill that I was forced to withdraw."
He continued, "It seems that my recent schedule has been a bit too much for my body," and added, "I'm very sorry that I can't be with you today."
Earlier on the same day, a production presentation for "Wonderland" was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Initially, director Kim Tae Yeon had planned to have actors Tang Wei, Suzy (former Miss A), Park Bo Gum, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo-shik participate in the project, but Jung Yu Mi was not selected.
However, YouTuber Lee Seung-guk, who acted as MC, also revealed that Jung Yu-mi was unable to attend due to health reasons.
Jung Yu-mi also attended the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 7th and appeared in high spirits, which is causing fans to become increasingly worried.
"Wonderland" is a story about reuniting with loved ones through the video chat service "Wonderland," which uses artificial intelligence to revive the deceased.
It will be released in Korea on the 5th.
