「NCT」マーク、「僕が僕の色を探していく旅」透明なソロアーティスト…「内面からバレる気分」
”NCT” Mark, ”A journey to find my own color” A transparent solo artist... ”I feel like I'm being exposed from the inside”
Mark of the boy group "NCT" has released the cover pictorial for the June issue of fashion magazine "COSMOPOLITAN KOREA."
Mark, who released his solo song "200," which features a rock sound and a lyrical melody, on the 17th
In the published pictorial, she said, "There were so many things I wanted to do, whether it be rapping, singing, or dancing, so I had a lot of worries because it was so diverse," and "I had a lot of discussions with my producer brother and the visual team.
However, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to show a more relaxed, easy-going, and natural side of myself that is closer to the real me."
So I was wearing a beanie and a hoodie and just holding a guitar.
A casual Mark was born. Mark explained the lyrics he wrote himself and performed the acoustic version of "Minhyung's
Ver.," he said, "After thinking about many words, we decided on the version with the Korean name.
"Because it's something that only I can do," he said, revealing the behind-the-scenes story. What is the difference between working as a member of NCT and working as a solo artist? Mark said, "As a solo artist, Mark
I think it's transparent. While working on this project, I felt that writing lyrics and singing a solo song is all about transparency, where your inner self is revealed.
I guess I felt like my inner self was being 'revealed', as the A&R team was like, 'That's very INFJ-like,' and 'You're like Mark,'" he laughed.
When asked what he meant by "something like Mark," he replied, "I'm looking for it. I'm not sure yet. But I think there's something like that in music."
Even my solo album coming out next year will not have a single concept or feel, but rather I want to include as many different things as I can within my reach.
I think this is a stance that suits my first album. It's meaningful to leave behind an album that shows my journey of searching for my own color."
This just goes to show that Mark has unlimited possibilities now. The magazine has published an interview with Mark from "NCT" that contains deep stories, from his pictorial and solo music to his beliefs.
The June issue of COSMOPOLITAN will be available for purchase at bookstores across Korea from May 22nd.
