CJ Korea Express to build cold chain logistics center in the U.S., linking it with Dutch company's factory - Korean report
Logistics giant CJ Korea Express announced that it will build a cold chain logistics center in New Century, Kansas, USA, specializing in the logistics of refrigerated and frozen products.
The 7,034-square-meter facility is scheduled to begin operations in the July-September quarter of 2025. Once fully operational, the logistics center will be able to deliver products to 85% of the U.S. within two days.
The logistics center will handle the distribution of products from Upfield, a Dutch food company. Upfield's factory in New Century and the logistics center will be located in the city of New Century.
The cold chain logistics business is being actively expanded. It plans to expand to the U.S. by the end of the year.
The company plans to begin full-scale operations of a cold chain logistics center covering approximately 25,000 square meters in Gainesville, Georgia.
Kevin Coleman, CEO of the company's US branch, said, "Cold chain logistics is a system that integrates everything from storage to inventory management.
