It is a romantic comedy TV series that revolves around Yun-bok and Kim Hong-do, a "Korean office worker" who is tired of being treated badly.
Kim Myung-soo said, "The character I play, Shin Yun-bok, can be described in one word as a Confucian boy.
He has a job as a Confucian scholar, but as the successor of Seongsan Village, he lives his life upholding the Confucian ideology that has been passed down since the Joseon Dynasty.
He is like a weed who dreams of becoming a designer at a fashion company, but struggles to survive alone in a difficult environment."
When asked about similarities and differences between the two characters, Lee Yu-Young said, "I think the fact that they're both so honest about their emotions is the most similar."
"I'm similar to Hong Do in that I'm reckless and will follow through on what I think is right," Kim Myung Soo said. "We were born and raised in very different environments, so I can empathize with him.
There weren't many values or lifestyles involved," he said, adding, "I hope viewers will concentrate on how the characters change in 'Treat Me Like a Monster.'"
Kim Myung Soo and Lee YuYoung said that they personally gained something from this TV series. Kim Myung Soo said, "I'm going to be able to act in the future.
"I think it's a work that has opened up many new possibilities for me," he said, while Lee Yu-Young expressed his deep affection for the work, saying, "He's a character that you can get positive energy from."
