韓国関税庁、「日韓税関協力会議」を開催…「実質的な税関協力を強化」
Korea Customs Service holds Japan-Korea Customs Cooperation Meeting to ”strengthen practical customs cooperation”
On the 22nd, Ko Kwang-hyo, Commissioner of the Korea Customs Service, held the 33rd Japan-Korea Customs Cooperation Conference with Ejima Kazuhiko, Director-General of the Customs Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, in Tokyo.
This year's conference was the first in seven years since 2016, and the issues discussed at last year's conference were not just declarative, but were aimed at turning them into concrete results.
The two countries' customs authorities stated that "cooperation at customs, which is the frontline of the movement of goods across the border, will contribute to the safety of society."
After sharing the view that the two countries will continue to play a key role in the development of the Asia-Pacific region, they reviewed the current status of practical exchanges, reported on their results, and discussed future plans.
By strengthening practical customs cooperation with economic cooperation countries such as the United States, Japan, and Australia, and by actively engaging in customs diplomacy activities such as holding meetings with the heads of customs offices of the United Kingdom and other countries, Korea will become a global leader.
