In order to confirm the exact blood alcohol concentration, the police took a blood sample from Mr. A and sent it to the National Forensic Service for analysis.
It was reported that Mr. A requested a blood test, stating that his alcohol level was high due to a hangover. The police are investigating how Mr. A managed to avoid the bus company's pre-departure breathalyzer test.
The city bus company where A works will hold a personnel committee meeting after the police investigation to decide on disciplinary measures, such as dismissal. A has currently been suspended from work.
The city of Busan is considering imposing administrative sanctions on the city's bus companies, including fines, business suspension, and penalties.
