The Korean Paper Industry Technology Development Association held its second board meeting for 2024 on the 23rd and announced that it would promote the development of the Pungnat Museum, a former capital of the early Baekje period in the Three Kingdoms period, located in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The directors agreed to make Seoul, Gangwon-do and Jeolla-do the bases for developing the Korean paper industry and to foster major industries.
The reason for building a Hanji Museum in Pungnaptoseong is that Seoul is the center of Hanji culture and the Hanji culture and industry center.
In particular, Pungnaptoseong Fortress is a place that is steeped in the history of Baekje during the Three Kingdoms period, and is considered the perfect place to build a Hanji Museum.
The directors of the Hanji Promotion Association said, "The Pungnaptoseong Hanji Museum is an outpost for the globalization of Hanji culture and a place that provides a foundation for the globalization of Hanji culture."
