”Connection” Jisung loses 15kg weight gained from childcare... ”Even hyperventilating”

"I was about to collapse, but no one noticed," said the actor at the production presentation of the new SBS Fri-Sat TV series "Connection" held at SBS in Mokdong, Seoul on the afternoon of the 24th.
Jisung of Yu talked about the preparation process for the character. "Connection" is about an ace detective in the drug team who was forced to become addicted to drugs by someone and who follows the death of his friend for 20 years.
The PENG SOO TV series is an addiction tracking suspense series that reveals the friendship that continues and the connections that lead to it. Jisung plays the role of Jang Jae Kyung, an ace detective in the narcotics team who is a drug addict.
When asked what efforts he made to prepare for the character, he said, "Firstly, in terms of appearance, I gained a lot of weight because of raising a child.
I gained weight up to 85kg, but then I went on a diet, saying, 'Dad, I have to work.'
"I lost 15 kilos over the course of two months," he said. "I was also lacking in physical strength. I lost weight suddenly and the aftereffects were severe.
Rather, I tried to bring that aspect into my acting," he added.
Regarding his internal preparations, he said, "While I was acting, I controlled my mind by thinking, 'I have to do another performance.'
I tried to portray a distinction between the me in the situation of being addicted, the me trying to overcome it, and the me trying to enjoy being addicted.
When controlling the game itself, we should have left more room for it."
He added, "Depending on the situation, I would even take a deep breath while reciting my lines.
"When I was trying to express the pain of poisoning through my breathing, at one point I started hyperventilating and looked like I was going to collapse," he said, drawing attention. Jisung also said, "I felt a sense of crisis, considering my age.
He added, "Acting while using this medicine would be detrimental to my life, and I have a family, so I tried to act while keeping to the appropriate line."
