In an interview with Kyodo News published on the 24th of this month, Prime Minister Kishida said about the Japan-Korea summit, "We will openly discuss ways for Japan-Korea cooperation and collaboration for a future appropriate for the new era."
"We would like to exchange ideas and share our wisdom," he said, revealing his intention to release a joint document next year, the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea.
