A man in his 30s who posted a message teasing random killings at Seoul Station remained silent when asked questions by reporters as he faces arrest.
On the 26th, suspect A (33) left the room at 3:58 p.m. after the screening and posted a message asking whether he had any intention of committing a crime.
When asked by reporters why he posted the photos, he remained silent and left the scene. That afternoon, the Seoul Northern District Court issued a statement regarding the pre-arrest of suspect A, who is suspected of intimidation and obstruction of justice.
A hearing (warrant review) will be held and a decision on whether to arrest him will be made as early as the 26th. According to the police, suspect A appeared at the DC Inside Gallery at around 1:42 pm on the 22nd,
He is suspected of posting a message that read, "I will carry out an indiscriminate killing spree with a knife at a station on the 24th. I will kill 50 people, men and women, anyone I like."
Police executed a search warrant at DC Inside Gallery on the 24th.
After analysis, suspect A was arrested at his home in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, at around 7:20 pm that day.
