拾ったクレジットカードで300ウォン決済…女子高生が称賛された理由=韓国
A high school girl paid 300 won with a credit card she found... the reason she was praised (Korea)
A heartwarming story was told about a group of high school girls who spent 300 won (about 34 yen) on candy at a convenience store in order to find the owner of a credit card they found.
According to JIBS, on the 19th of this month at around 9:21 pm, a man in his 60s named Han said, "Credit card payment approved, 300 won in one lump sum, XX convenience store."
Han thought it was a credit card fee or something, so he didn't pay much attention to it. The next day, his credit card, which should have been in his clothes, was gone.
When I realized that my credit card was lost, I immediately reported it to the bank. The bank said, "The last payment was made at a convenience store, for a small amount of 300 won," and recommended that I try the convenience store.
Han went to the convenience store where the credit card was used and was able to find the card. The credit card was placed in a plastic bag along with 300 won in coins.
Han watched the CCTV footage from inside the convenience store to see what had happened, and saw two high school girls looking around the store and buying a candy stick.
After that, they were seen handing Han's credit card and 300 won in coins to the store clerk. As they handed them over to the store clerk, the high school girls said, "Please give it to the owner of the credit card when he comes.
The high school girls are believed to have acted in this way because, when a payment is made with a credit card, a mobile phone message is sent to the owner with the location of the payment.
The employee who worked at the convenience store at the time said, "I made the payment because I thought he would come to the convenience store to look for (the lost credit card)," and "I would never use such a method while working at a convenience store.
"I had no idea about it, but I thought it was a good idea," he said. "When people find something, they probably throw it in the trash or leave it there rather than looking for the owner," Han said.
"It was something rare for my generation, and I was very touched," he said, looking back on the time. "If I ever get in touch, I'll be sure to convey my gratitude to him," he added.
After hearing this story, internet users commented, "He has a good mind and a good heart," and "He uses his mind like this."
"This is amazing," "No one would have come up with such a crazy idea," and other praise flooded the comments.
