尹大統領が「日中韓ビジネスサミット」に出席…「交易・投資の活性化を強調」
President Yoon attends the China-Japan-Korea Business Summit... ”Emphasis on revitalizing trade and investment”
South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol said, "The governments and businesses of the three countries, South Korea, Japan and China, must further revitalize regional trade and investment based on mutual respect and trust."
He also said, "We will go beyond Northeast Asia and jointly address global issues such as climate change, while promoting inclusive, win-win growth with countries in the Global South."
President Yoon said at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry International Conference on the afternoon of the 27th.
He made the remarks while attending the Japan-China-Korea Business Summit with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
The summit, which was held on the occasion of the Japan-China-ROK Trilateral Summit, was jointly hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Japan's Business Federation (Keidanren), and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
This will be the eighth Japan-China-Korea Business Summit, the first in four years and five months since the seventh was held in Chengdu, China in December 2019.
President Yoon said in his keynote speech, "This year marks the 25th anniversary of the trilateral cooperation between Korea, Japan and China, which began in 1999. These 25 years have been a great milestone in the development of exchanges between the three countries that have continued for thousands of years."
"This is the period in the history of our nations where we have achieved economic and cultural prosperity through the closest and most mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.
The 204 people included business leaders from the three countries, including Chairman Choi Tae-won (Chairman of SK Group), Chairman Tokura Masakazu of the Japan Business Federation, and Chairman Ren Hongbin of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Among the attendees were Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Deok-keun and Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yeol from the South Korean government, and National Security Advisor Chang Ho-jin and President Park Geun-hye from the South Korean presidential office.
Among those in attendance were Chief Secretary for Economic Affairs Park Chun-seop and First Deputy Director of the National Security Office Kim Tae Hee.
