Interest is growing as it has been announced that Japan, the United States, and South Korea will hold the 13th Vice Foreign Ministers' Meeting near Washington, D.C. on the afternoon of the 31st (local time).
On the 27th, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that First Vice Minister Kim Hong-Ki will attend the Japan-US-ROK Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs Meeting.

A joint press conference and official dinner are scheduled to be held at Deputy Secretary Campbell's private farm in Virginia. The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The meeting will focus on regional and global issues, strategies, and other issues.
"We plan to hold broad and in-depth discussions on global competition, regional cooperation, and partnerships in the economic, technological and energy sectors," he said.
Bilateral talks will also be held on the occasion of the Japan-US-ROK Trilateral Vice-Ministers' Meeting.
