South Korea's Easter Airport to allow dogs and cats on board some international routes from July

South Korean low-cost carrier Eastar Airport is now allowing passengers on some international routes to bring their pet dogs and cats on board.
According to the Korean aviation industry on the 30th, Eastar Airlines announced on the 30th that "starting in July, some international flights will allow the transportation of dogs and cats over 8 weeks old."
"We plan to allow pets to board on domestic flights only," Eastar Jet said. Eastar Jet has now allowed pets to board on domestic flights from Incheon Airport to Tokyo.
- It is planned to permit this on routes to Osaka, Fukuoka, Shanghai, Taoyuan, Bangkok, and Da Nang, as well as routes from Gimpo Airport to Taipei Songshan.
Specifically, one adult who has completed the quarantine and transportation reservation procedures in advance may bring only one pet.
According to the Korea Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, a total of 10,168 dogs and cats were quarantined for departure between January and April this year, an 8.6% increase from the same period last year.
