"Night Fishing" is a humanistic thriller that includes mysterious events and reversals set in an electric vehicle (EV) charging station.
The lead role will be played by actor Son Sukku, who has appeared in films such as "The Outlaws 2".
Director Moon Byung-gon, the first Korean to win the Golden Park Award in the Short Film Category at the 2016 Golden Week Awards, returns to the helm for the first time in 11 years.
Director Moon said of the film, "I made the film from the perspective of a car-mounted camera from Hyundai Motors.
"Night Fishing" is a project that was started after receiving a unique proposal to try it out," he said. "Night Fishing" uses the Surround View Monitor (SVM), Digital Side Mirror (DSM), etc.
The story unfolds through the lens of a camera mounted on Hyundai's electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5. The view is limited, as if you were looking through a black box, creating a tense atmosphere.
The film was entered in the International Short Film Competition Section at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada, and was also selected for the Sundance Film Festival in the United States in January.
It was also screened at the festival.
