"A famous milk tea shop in China was eventually closed down after it was discovered that staff members washed their feet in the sink," Chinese media outlets including the Beijing Times reported on the 12th.
According to the report, a recent incident on Chinese social media has involved a male employee at a milk tea specialty store called "Mi Xue Bin Chang" taking off his sneakers and putting his feet in the sink.
A video of the employee putting a handkerchief on the sink went viral. The employee was also seen touching the sink with his hand while resting his foot on the corner. The person who filmed the video clarified that "This is a store near Panjiayuan in Chaoyang District, Beijing."
After the incident became a hot topic on the Internet, the Mitsuyuki Ice Castle side admitted on the 11th of this month that the staff member in the video was the father of the restaurant owner, and that a hygiene problem had occurred.
