China Eastern Airlines to launch new Shanghai-Guangzhou route with domestically produced large passenger aircraft ”C919” from 14th - Chinese media

On the 12th, China Eastern Airlines announced that the Shanghai/Hongqiao-Guangzhou/Baiyun route, the fourth scheduled commercial flight for the domestically produced large passenger aircraft, the C919, will begin service on the 14th.
Flight MU5309, C919, operates from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, departs Shanghai at 9:30 a.m. and arrives in Guangzhou at 11:55 a.m.
China Eastern Airlines ordered 100 more C919s in September 2023 and received the first of the 100 at the end of last month. It now has a total of six aircraft.
The C919 began commercial operations on May 28. To date, it has operated three routes connecting Shanghai Hongqiao with Chengdu Tianfu, Beijing Daxing, and Xi'an Xianyang.
Meanwhile, during this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday (June 8-10), China Eastern Airlines (including its affiliates) operated a total of 8,042 flights.
Passenger transport volume increased 13.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 1,075,000 people.
