The Korean Medical Association (KMA) announced three major demands for the re-discussion of the mass medical refusal (mass closure of clinics). On the 16th, the KMA announced three demands to the government: △Increase in the number of students admitted to medical schools
Reexamination △ Amendment and supplementation of the essential medical policy package △ Immediately return to the status quo all administrative orders and dispositions related to medical residents and medical students that the government has unilaterally notified, and cease threatening judicial action, etc.
The Medical Association stated that it would "demand that the government respond by 11 p.m." If this demand is not accepted, it will "postpone the full closure of clinics on the 18th on the 17th."
The decision will be made by a member vote," he said, emphasizing, "We will implement a nationwide mass closure on the 18th, after which we will launch an all-out struggle that may include an indefinite suspension."
In response, the Medical Association resolved to hold a collective closure on the 18th, involving private practice doctors, medical school professors, etc.
The National Medical University Professors Emergency Response Committee and the National Medical University Professors Council have also declared that they will participate.
