This was the same percentage as in the previous survey, and disapproval fell 2 percentage points to 64%. The reasons for support were "diplomacy" (26%), "expanding the number of students admitted to medical schools at universities" (11%), and "national defense and security" (6%).
The reasons for disapproval were, in order, "the economy, public welfare, and prices" (17%), "lack of communication" (8%), and "arbitrary and unilateral" (8%).
Meanwhile, the ruling party "People's Power" received 32% support, while the Democratic Party received 28%. This was followed by the Fatherland Reform Party (9%), the New Reform Party (4%), and the Progressive Party (4%).
The rankings were: New Future (2%), New Hope (1%), and 23% of independents. Gallup Korea said, "President Yoon's approval rating has been stagnating in the low 20% range since the general election in April."
However, the analysis also noted that "the trend has now broken down from the lowest point of 21% three weeks ago, and the negative trend has eased slightly since the start of June."
