North Korea's ”filthy balloon” falls on the grounds of the National Assembly building in South Korea
A "filthy balloon" believed to have come from North Korea was discovered on the grounds of the National Assembly in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and the South Korean military has begun operations to remove it.

The South Korean military responded to a report that a dirty balloon had fallen near the National Assembly Library in Yeouido-dong, Deungpo-gu, and then an explosive ordnance disposal team (EOD) of the South Korean military was dispatched to remove the remains of the dirty balloon.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 24th that North Korea had sent dirty balloons toward South Korea at night, believed to be a countermeasure against the leaflet distribution.
The ministry said that they had released balloons filled with garbage several times between the end of last month and the beginning of this month. The ministry urged the public to be careful of falling objects, and if they do find any, to immediately report them to military forces or police without touching them.
The North Korean government has called for people to report the filthy balloons to the South. The balloons sent by North Korea to South Korea on the 9th and 10th have been found over a wide area in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
About 100 have been found in Seoul, including some that fell in the parking lot of the National Museum of Korea and the War Memorial of Japan near the presidential office in Yongsan.
This is the first time that a dirty balloon suspected to have been released by North Korea has been discovered on the grounds of the National Diet Building.
