China's ”hot summer luck”: 174 million people expected to use Yangtze River Delta high-speed rail - Chinese report

On the 24th, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. announced plans for its "Summer Transport" (special summer transportation system), which will begin operation on July 1st.
The company plans to operate high-speed trains in the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta area during this year's "summer holiday" period (July 1 to August 31).
The number of people using the roads in the province is expected to reach 174 million in total, with an average of 2.8 million people using the roads each day, up 3.5 percent from the same period last year.
The company's railway division plans to operate 1,341.5 passenger trains during the "Summer" period, 30.5 more than the same period last year, to meet passenger needs.
Many of the people taking advantage of the "Summer Travel" are family and student travelers. Destinations include traditional tourist cities such as Beijing, Xi'an, Qingdao, and Xiamen, as well as the popular tourist spot of Changsha.
The flow of tourists is said to be concentrated in places such as Sa, Yangzhou, and Huangshan.
