DMZへ向かう往復列車がことしも運行、11月までの計11回=韓国
Round-trip trains to DMZ will continue to operate this year, totaling 11th until November = South Korea
Gyeonggi-do will begin operating the "2024 Gyeonggi-do DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) Peace Train" on the 29th. The train will depart from Gwangmyeong Station and continue to Yongsan Station, Incheon Station, and Gyeonggi-do Station.
It is a round trip train that goes through Ilsan Station, Imjingang Station, arrives at Dorasan Station, and returns to Gwangmyeong Station. It is scheduled to operate a total of 11 times until November 16th.
The train, which will begin operation in 2023, will have a schedule linked to events such as the DMZ Open Festival, DMZ Marathon, and Peace Walking.
In 2024, the service will operate twice a month (first and third weeks). On Saturdays during the first week, passengers can get off at Dorasan Station and enjoy free time, and on Saturdays during the third week, passengers can take a sightseeing tour of the northern part of the Civilian Access Control Zone.
The train will be linked to the service. A cultural commentator will talk to passengers about history and related stories, and a documentary film director will also be working on the theme of unification.
Prior to this, in 2023, there will be a cultural and talk program for visitors to Suwon Station, Anyang Station, Seoul Station, and Mugunghwa Station on the Mugunghwa and Saemaeul trains.
A total of 10 round-trip trains were operated, passing through Munsan Station, Imjin River Station and arriving at Dorasan Station. A total of 1,666 people participated (1,042 got off at Dorasan Station and 642 got off at Imjin River Station).
