The group ATEEZ, who attended a high-end fashion show, has apologized for the racism issue. On the 2nd (local time), ATEEZ appeared at the Hibike show in Milan, Italy.
Sun attended the Dolce & Gabbana show at the Royal Dubai Fashion Week. On this day, Sun wore a top with a Baroque sculpture motif, wide flare pants, and Feint Derby shoes.
The bold and difficult style was reminiscent of armor and drew attention. This even led to the issue of racism. In the video released from the scene, Sang was seen sitting in a row with celebrities while watching the show, but he was not happy.
Unlike the other people watching the show in a comfortable position, she was seen as if she was being squeezed between two people without any cushion. The brand in question has previously been under controversy for its racism towards Asians.
This raised many eyebrows. However, on the 7th, Sun directly explained the situation in a live broadcast. First, the costume in question had undergone fittings for a total of 10 outfits.
She explained that costumes had been prepared, saying, "I tried them on one by one, and this was my favorite. I thought it would look good to wear, and I thought it was nice from a modern artistic perspective."
He added, "I wanted to be recognized for my fashion sense with a challenging outfit." Regarding the suspicion that the seats at the show were narrow, he said that he sat that way.
"I'm quite big, and the person next to me was quite big, so I couldn't help it," she explained. San reiterated, "I felt bad that I was sitting in a small space, so I just moved forward a little."
Sun said she was saddened by the misunderstandings that have arisen regarding the issue of racism, saying, "I spoke out because I thought it might be misunderstood, since it was something I will never forget and will cherish forever.
"There was no discrimination. No misunderstandings allowed," he emphasized. Meanwhile, ATEEZ, the group San belongs to, held a fan meeting at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 6th and 7th.
