A video of JENNIE (BLACKPINK) came under fire for smoking indoors and JENNIE apologised. The commotion has also attracted the attention of foreign media.

　On the 11th (local time), the BBC in the UK reported on JENNIE's indoor smoking fiasco. JENNIE (BLACKPINK) apologised after a video of her smoking indoors was spread. "In South Korea, strict moral standards are required of K-pop stars and even minor mistakes are not tolerated", the report added that indoor smoking is strictly regulated in South Korea and a fine of up to 100,000 won is imposed.

　JENNIE recently came under fire for her video 'A Moment in Capri with Jennie', which was published on the YouTube channel Jennierubyjane Official, in which she was seen smoking indoors. At the time, JENNIE was in Italy to attend designer JACQUEMUS' 'La Casa' cruise collection on Capri, Italy, and was shown preparing for the event.

　However, the video showed JENNIE smoking an e-cigarette while getting her hair and make-up done, which became problematic as JENNIE exhaled the smoke and it appeared to be on the face of the staff member responsible for JENNIE's make-up.

　JENNIE was criticised for this video, not only for her indoor smoking, but also for her personality. Some netizens even asked the Italian Embassy to investigate JENNIE's indoor smoking.

　Eventually, JENNIE was forced to delete the video in question and apologise, and on the 9th, JENNIE's agency YG Entertainment commented: 'We apologise to everyone who was offended by JENNIE's behaviour, and JENNIE also regrets that she smoked indoors and caused trouble to other staff. We have commented on this."

　She added "We have also contacted the staff who were on site directly to apologise. We also apologise to our disappointed fans. I promise to reward them with more maturity in the future."
